Baby I'll carry your peach tree half a mile!
Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 05:28 pmJohn is sick, he has a cold. He is adorably sleepy.
This morning after suggesting that we should go to the plant store John said, "Then! This afternoon! We could go for a bike ride!"
".... Let's see if you make it through the plant store first eh?"
He made it 3/4 of the way through the plant store and abandoned helping me look for a peach tree for my dad.
Then he napped all afternoon.
---------
I spent 3 hours gardening. I'm a bit under the weather myself, so it was slow going planting more tomato plants. Weeding was not too bad. The arugula has already gone to seed. I put in a few summer bulbs. I put gladiolas in compost around the baby apple tree because it will look wonderful mid-summer.
I re-organized the deep freezer. It looks like once a week we need to have a chicken night, and one night needs to be a pumpkin night. Chicken and/or pumpkin recipes wanted!
I re-organized the pantry. I cannot fathom how there was an 11-year-old can of cream of celery soup. I went through the whole pantry last year, and there's no way I could have missed it since we repainted it.
Ever had coconut mango rice pudding? I think I'll make it with my leftover black rice tonight. EEEEE!
