Dad called this morning and wanted to know if I could get him a deal on flowers for my mom. I told him I am no longer a florist but I would be happy to make an arrangement for her.
He gave me at $40 budget. I can do a lot more for $40 than any flower company will. The grocery store flowers looked boring and stepped on. I knew Whole Foods always has lovely flowers.
I got 15 big red roses (these are really nice roses, unlike anything from 1800flowers or proflowers), 3 gerbera daisies, 8 white tulips and a ton of interesting filler. I know they both love eucalyptus. $47. The florist I worked for this week would charge $200 for this arrangement.
