The Home and Garden Show was mostly hot tubs, window guys, blenders, and bathroom liners. No florists, plants for sale, interior design, innovative landscaping, DIY, publications, seeds, produce, trees....
So it was lame, but we were with friends so it was alright.
John bought some drill bits.

It was so loud and overstimulating that I think everyone went home and napped.

Romanian Bean, Smoked Bacon, and Sour Cream Soup

I've been working through my 1.25lb of smoked bison bacon for the past week. A little goes a long way but you don't want to refreeze it.
-Bison bacon burritos
-Carbonerra
-Cassoulet
-Stroganoff

I was rooting though Roast Figs and Sugar Snow: Winter Food to Warm the Soul and found Romanian Bean, Smoked Bacon, and Sour Cream Soup.
I've never made or had anything Romanian before.

Butter
Onion
Celery
Bacon
Navy Beans (I used Peruvian)
Chicken Stock
S&P
Romaine Lettuce
Sour Cream
White Wine Vinegar
Dill

It's REALLY good! Lettuce is quite tasty in a soup. As a Main Dish it would serve 3-4 people.
