I fed the office

The husband of one of the ladies in my office is allergic to beans, so she doesn't get beans much. I gave her a jar of my Ham and Bean Soup. She followed me around today, "What's in your ham and bean soup? I LOVED it!"
"Thank you. Ham and beans... a sock of some sort possibly....wine..."
"Fennel?"
"I don't remember fennel."
"What spice?"
"I don't know. I never make the same food twice."
She kept after me like I was lying to her.

One of the assistants and I were discussing cheese before lunch. I mentioned the Humboldt Fog in my lunch sack.
"Ohhhhh......"
"Want some?"
"YES! PLEASE!"
I made him a fruit and cheese plate with persimmons, blood oranges, sourdough bread, Humboldt Fog and a Gruyère. He was amazed. Other people bring freezer meals for lunch.
I think he'll take good care of my plants while I'm gone.

I made the same plate up for my boss and I but added bowls of hominy chili. Sooo goood.

"A sock of some sort" reminded me of the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie. :P

Hominy.chili.?? I've only ever used hominy in one dish that I make, which is one my mom always makes for holiday dinners. And I loooove Pozole. Could I get a recipe-ish maybe? :)
