Not the only one, no. Though I did find Weird Al's parody of Smells Like Teen Spirit to be a lot funnier after I had actually listened to the original, so there's that in Nirvana's favor.
I've come to terms that the reason I liked the, "Smalls like Teen Spirit" video were the well-endowed Cheerleaders with anarchist cymbols on them and probably the Beavis and Butthead commentary. I was what, 12 when that hit?
I like Nirvana - fine music to vacuum to - but I never made them the center of my universe, nor do I think they changed the world. For Kurt Cobain mainly I feel sorry; he was talented, but also a crazy, dope-addled jerk.
Nirvana & the Grunge scene did wonders for rock in the 90's. The 1st wave of new blood & new sound. I mean if these guys didn't come around we'd all be listening to Metallica & Guns n' Roses rip offs for the rest of eternity.
