YipSan called us "Geeks."

4 hour bike ride today. I think I am too tired for ice cream.
There was a bike shindig at the football field and Renold Yip of Yipsan Bicycles was there. http://www.yipsanbicycles.com He makes the most elegant bicycles possibly ever. We talked for a looong time about how in many years if I can afford it I'd like him to build me a recumbent. And what other women want in custom bicycles. He's lots of fun.

At one point on the bike path the city blocked it off with a massive amount of dirt to keep people away during construction. We climbed it. At another point the path was flooded 8" deep. We forded it. At multiple points the path was filled with loser cyclists in their snobby outfits and boring bikes BLOCKING THE PATH while they ate granola bars. I dinged my bell at them.
--------

Tired and tired and tired we went to Home Depot for the fruit tree sale. A fruit tree can cost $50-$100. These were $18-$25. Nothing causes relationship discord like a Macintosh tree. "It's freaking busted, like any Apple product." The apple of discord.
A Macintosh, Red plum, Reliant peach, and Queen Anne cherry.

Then I ate ostrich with broccoli, snow peas, and enoki mushrooms. Awesome.

Those are very beautiful bikes! And compared to the price of a car, it's not so bad!

My current bike costs as much as my car. It's even insured.
I'd expect about the same from Yip.

Well, my car is worth less than the repairs it needs, so I suppose I meant "it's cheaper than a new car" :P

They're also custom fitted to you, and have a lifetime warranty that you'll almost certainly never use because they're so well-made.

Yea it looks very slick. Once my kids can (safely) ride bikes maybe I will just get a fancy awesome one and stop trying to use this car so much.
