First food from the garden, and Santa Fe photos
Last year the upper bed went to the sunflowers.
There was corn, beans, and a potato, but really sunflowers.

Lots of pictures
Ah, see, yes, here is one of Uncle Mark in the sunflowers. You can see how big they get between now and July.

Right now they are this big:

and taking over the lettuce bed; this year it's a lettuce bed.
Sunflower sprouts are not only edible, but very very delicious. They taste just like sunflower seeds!

I steamed them for a few seconds and served them with soba noodles and teriyaki chicken.
They are rather nice raw as well.

If you are ever in the Southwest, get a little nosey and peek in some abandoned store front windows. They are often filled with strange objects.
Las Vegas NM

This is El Santaurio de Chimayo, the holy dirt church.
I remember how back in the day they said that the hole miraculously refilled itself with holy dirt. Now they just tell you not to eat the holy dirt.

Roz and I followed some odd signs to a closed gallery (walrus and egg?), their hallway was neat though.

Roz sort of let me peek in an abandoned house
