threemeninaboatI put on appropriate leaving the house clothes today, jewelry even. People noticed me.
Hancock Fabrics has 50% off decorator fabrics (and many other things) this weekend. I always find pretty things which I have no use for there. I went looking for black* fabric for curtains for my studio. I found black crinkly satin with small burnt orange and yellow dots, $11 yd with discount (I needed 3 yards) damn perfect.
I tried to go to Stagecoach Antiques to look for a shelf for the downstairs bathroom and some brooches, but they are out of business. :(
*How in the hell ought one to decorate a room with one wall of pine paneling shelves that you don't want to paint, but you want to bring it closer to current design? It took me MANY design books to find what I wanted. White walls, black accents. When the library is finished I'll get the bookshelves out and can paint the walls (they are pale yellow now), until then I'll do curtains and paint my table black.
