Oof

We returned 50 lbs of books, checked out 20 lbs more.

My mom gave us $100 in grocery store gift cards. I got myself things I needed: a seam ripper, fabric razor, wrinkle releaser, sun-dried tomatoes, bag balm.

We went to the Lamp store and found a light for the downstairs bathroom.

Then I got back to work on the art. I finished 1 of 4 for the upstairs bathroom. I'm not sure I like it. It really highlights how even with a straight edge and roller I cannot cut a straight line.

[livejournal.com profile] randomdreams grouted the downstairs bathroom while I cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the upstairs bathroom, folded and put away the laundry, and made dinner.

-----------

Cabrito (kid goat) tacos:
I found a .5 lb goat loin in the freezer.

Braised diced loin in olive oil, garlic, ginger, chili powder, and cocoa (and a bit of water). Maybe 15 minutes.
Served on tortillas with guac, cilantro, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream.

It's almost time to get antsy about the garden. But it still hasn't snowed here yet so there hasn't been any pining for the soil.
We have a bunch of seeds already. I might get Sungold tomatoes though.
I don't know what to grow this year. I'm just not excited yet. I guess I have a few more weeks.
Kohlrabi. Kale....Some peppers, some pumpkins. Lots of tomatoes. Snow peas. Green beans. Amaranth. Sunflowers.

Maybe the grapes will do something. Maybe the berries will do something. I hope the bamboo comes back. I hope both rhubarbs go crazy. Perhaps I'll dig an asparagus pit.

I'm guessing the rhubarb are on the crazy path: they never stopped growing last year.
This year I'll get a watering system in for the berries.

There are rhubarbs that don't go crazy?
