Upstairs bathroom

Of all the un-remodeled rooms in my ugly house, the Upstairs Bathroom, and oh god I hate to admit it, is the least bad. It's like looking at a line up of abused children and thinking, "This kid here, only missing one ear, this one is not as bad."

Yes, I've been looking at this many times a day for 4 years.
I cannot tell if they picked the maroony flower shower curtain, then picked the tile and paint to match the shower curtain, or if the shower curtain was sick destiny. The tile is a redblueandwhite speckled (1985?), and a marooney purple (1993?), and the walls are rag-rolled marooney purple.
Yes, less bad than other things.

Today I swapped out the shower curtain with a plain white one. More better.

The tile in our upstairs bathroom is peach. PEACH! Fortunately we have a really cute bathroom so it kinda makes up for the peach tile. We went with grays & white for the decor because it doesn't match the peach and doesn't clash with it, either.

My mother has that too! And painted her walls turquoise. It looks so terrible, I want to cry.

Yeah your choice with peach is black, white, or gray.
Maybe a light yellow with red accents, but I'm not sure at this moment, depends on your peach.

This would make an awesome blog. "Chimeras". Old houses with hideousweird decorating that no one understands. Each photo would have a tiny mouse in it that you'd have to find.

OTOH, my nearly decade-old shower curtain has developed a few cracks and splits here and there.

*facepalm*

What am I doing, looking a perfectly good (if maroon-ish) shower curtain in the mouth?
