52) The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame, 252 pgs
Wack em and wack em and wack em!

53) The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, 182 pgs
The great American novel. I had to go back and re-read the end because someone was reading over my shoulder and weeping. But I really love his mushy side because I don't have one.

The only thing I can currently remember about the Great Gatsby, which I read over a decade ago, was something about a green light in the beginning.

Fiction is quite a bit different as an adult when you have life experience under your belt.
It's short and easy, you could try it again. I enjoyed it.

It's actually one of those books on my reread list (which is quite short). I have some audiofiles from librivox of his short stories and rather liked them. Great to listen to if I'm thinking of running any sort of game set in that time period.
