My India, the nearest Indian grocery, was small but had nearly everything on my list of things I needed (all but one and it can easily be exchanged for Szechuan peppercorns). The owner was VERY helpful. An enormous collection of strange peas and lentils for 50 cents lb, probably 20 types of spices (2.99 per 1/4 lb), paneer, freezer samosas (some nights you don't want to make your own), 3 new veggies, strange bananas.
I can't wait to take Uncle Mark there.
----
There's a Brazilian market up the street that only serves feiojada on Saturdays at noon. We finally got over there, and it was really great. Very good. Not as spicy as Cafe Brazil, but good.

Shove that in your rice cooker.
