I made Nutella granola.
(oats, honey, sunflowerseeds, nutella, coconut, sesame seeds, dried cherries, almonds)

Last week was Kahula granola.
(oats, honey, sunflowerseeds, coconut, sesame seeds, Kahlua, brown sugar, macadamia nuts, pecans, dried apples, almond oil)

Yummy. But I always wondered: doesn't it cost a bunch to make those at home?

Much less than if you were to buy granola.
And it tastes much better. I make it while I am making dinner, so it isn't costing me any time.

It depends on what you put in it. Macadamia nuts are more expensive than peanuts, dried strawberries are more expensive than raisins.

You could go pretty cheap with:
oats, sesame seeds, peanuts, raisins, dried coconut, honey, veg oil, spices.

Nuts and dried fruit are often really cheap at BigLots, and everything else I get in bulk at the natural foods store.
