Perhaps you too have read, "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" and remember the infamous "eat it, or wear it" scene.

Pirate is not eating. It is somewhat difficult to force feed a bunny. I made a bunny shake out of spinach and pineapple and ground pellets and pedialyte. Yummy. Injecting it down his throat is not fun for any of us. Fortunately, bunnies hate to be dirty. I've been dunking his paws in applesauce and smearing as much "bunny shake" on him as his fur will hold. I come back later and he's all clean.

I know what you mean. I had to force-feed two of my chinchillas a giant syringe of critical care food goo for a week after they had dental surgery. We all hated it.
