Last year, when I was unemployed, I really wanted to sign up for the Denver Urban Gardner's Master Composting Certification Program.
Yes, play with shit and dirt.
But the program was full.
I was looking into it this year and they require 10 Saturday mornings.
You have got to be kidding me. That made sense when I slept in the other 6 days of the week, but I need to sleep until I stop hurting at least one day a week.

I'll just go read some books about mud, make a shiny certificate for my potter's bench in photoshop, and keep my $35.

The gardening issue of Martha Stewart is neat. I really like that thing she (or one of her "helpers") made that makes equidistant holes for seeds. I'll have to request one from Mr. Bump.

I have a compost pile in the back yard you're welcome to play in. :)

It's nothing fancy, just a pile of shredded leaves and the occasional lemon peel from my iced tea, but I turned it a few days ago and it's developing a nice earthy aroma.

If you really want the equidistant seed thing I could do that. I think it'd be cooler if it was on a wheel so you could just roll it along and it'd leave lines of holes.
