It's flooring squares that act like both tile and carpet, are removable and completely washable. If you ruin one tile, just remove it and replace.

Man, that's funny - I just received a catalogue from Flor in the mail yesterday (addressed to the previous owner or "current resident"). I was pondering buying a sample pack to see how the tiles worked - now I can check out yours!

Someday when I own a place, I will also have a puzzle hardwood floor.

Think you should see if you can just get big remnant sample packs and just have a completely random floor.
