Oo! Someone was shot last night, 7 blocks from our house!
There was a car crash in front of our house this morning.
Last week a WHOLE HOUSE blew up 10 blocks away!

Hadn't even considered that -- or at least *I* hadn't. I figured it was a natural gas explosion, probably from them using a gas oven.
