Let me know if updates from The Gourmet Market Discount Bin are unwarranted, but people seemed to like them in the past. And be helpful.
During our recent budget slashing conversation we decided that snazzy food had to stay.
Last week we got: 1lb Honeycomb. $6. Ideas for this one welcome. I've used it before in granola delightfully.
Today: Raspberries: $1 a box. I got 12 boxes! Will freeze most of these.
Crème fraîche imported from France. $3. I know you can make this yourself, but it never comes out well for me. Mix it with some berries and orange booze, heaven. Other ideas also entertained.
Lots of cheese
Spicy Capicola. 1/4lb. $2.
6 Boar's Head Veal and Pork Brats: $2.50.
Chunk of salmon: $6 ("That's a lot of salmon. Are you sure you can eat that much?" "I can eat that much.")
2 Stuffed Oysters: 80 cents each. Appetizers! (I've never had stuffed oysters, do you heat them?)
Sprouts: Mung bean and alfalfa. $1 each. Pad Thai and sammiches?

I washed Lillian today. It's funny seeing a pit bull all fluffy.
