threemeninaboat: (Lemur Bounce)
11. Fallen Angels, by Walter Dean Myers
Really sad. I don't even like war books but this one was hard to put down.

12. It’s Perfectly Normal, by Robie Harris
Someone needs to make a version for adulthood.

13. Captain Underpants (series), by Dav Pilkey
I read the Booger one.... and LOVED it. So funny and childish. I can see why kids adore them.

14. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain
I can't remember liking it enough to do a re-read.

15. The Bluest Eye, by Toni Morrison
I think this is a re-read. Damn sad book.

16. Forever, by Judy Blume
I'm not sure how many times I've read Forever, but it's worth it every time.

17. The Color Purple, by Alice Walker
I loved this book.

18. Go Ask Alice, by Anonymous
I read this in 12th grade. Was is challenging for its time? I thought it was pretty tame.

19. Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger
Even then I thought I the kid needed a smack.

20. King and King, by Linda de Haan
We read this one and the sequel. Excellent art and adorable characters.
