It Came From the Pantry: Vermont Curry with a touch of apple and honey

When [livejournal.com profile] algol was here we went to H-Mart. They convinced me to buy this, even though there are ingredients in here that I don't eat. And we didn't use 4 onions. TWO POUNDS OF ONIONS. I only used 1/8th of 1 onion, I added extra potatoes instead.
We made 6 cups of rice.

I got Medium Hot. It's not hot at all. Barely warm.

Anyway, this is delicious and would eat it like twice a month if I could.
One problem I usually have is that if something says it serves 6 people I have to double it because [livejournal.com profile] randomdreams eats a lot. This would actually serve 6 people.

We have had that particular curry before. Extra hot is best, although not for your vegetarian friends, unless they changed the recipe.

I think when we make Japanese curry, we add a type of hot sauce to it to bring out the heat. I am not sure what it is called, but we can get it at Curry House. It looks like red wine vinegar, but tastes like fire. I will ask next visit if you like.

This describes half of the stuff in our refrigerator.
[livejournal.com profile] manintheboat then mixes them together.

I would love for you to ask about extra hot :)
