The Books of February 2015

Ug, I'm only up to 17 books for this year.

Horrorstor was pretty cute. I loved the layout.

Through the Woods was AWESOME. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

On Such a Full Sea was like reading well written situations from Tales From the Crypt chapter after after chapter. My husband would hide in the bathroom with his hands over his ears begging me not to tell him about it so he wouldn't get nightmares too.

I bailed on the Cloud Atlas.

The Paying Guests was perfect from the first paragraph.

How far through Cloud Atlas did you get?

I found the first chapter incredibly hard, but when it jumps forward a century for chapter two the language (and story, and characters) got a lot easier to deal with, and interesting.

If you got that far and it didn't click then it's probably not for you :->

I gave it 250 pages :)
I think I'm done with David Mitchell. I liked Black Swan Green. The Bone Clocks had an amazing first 100 pages then went all... that's dumb and nonsense.

I am just about at that point now, but I like the future chapters a lot more than the middle ones. The Bone Clocks was kind of disappointing, esp. the ending. Too much hand-waving.
