Ug, I'm only up to 17 books for this year.
Horrorstor was pretty cute. I loved the layout.
Through the Woods was AWESOME. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
On Such a Full Sea was like reading well written situations from Tales From the Crypt chapter after after chapter. My husband would hide in the bathroom with his hands over his ears begging me not to tell him about it so he wouldn't get nightmares too.
I bailed on the Cloud Atlas.
The Paying Guests was perfect from the first paragraph.

Date: 2015-02-28 06:53 pm (UTC)I found the first chapter incredibly hard, but when it jumps forward a century for chapter two the language (and story, and characters) got a lot easier to deal with, and interesting.
If you got that far and it didn't click then it's probably not for you :->
