(no subject)

This is Charlie Brown.
Found: Charlie Brown Boston Terrier

He's a Boston Terrier from Killdeer, ND but somehow ended up in my parent's backyard, and now my house. He is super cuddly and gassy.
He has a vets tag but the vet doesn't remember who this dog belongs to. Maybe she'll figure it out.

It's better if they don't have a microchip; as the case of Leon (http://www.noble-leon.com/) shows, dogs can end up with fatal carcinomas at the site their microchip is implanted. I haven't put a microchip in Corky.

I will be microchipping my husband as soon as that's allowed. Lillian has been returned to me many times from microchip.

And someone is probably crying tonight because they don't know if their Boston Terrier is alive or dead. If he'd be chipped, he'd be home already.

I had cervical cancer. I truly do not appreciate anti-vaccine links. I am a firm believer in individual sacrifice for the greater good.

Yeah, well my terrier (pictured) was found on the street as well; I don't know if he was lost or turned loose, but having had a dog before who died from terminal liver cancer, I'm not interested in courting cancer.

They let you microchip your kids but not your spouse? Maybe you could get John's fambly to microchip him :D

Peabody is double-chipped. Apparently, there are two main types of microchips and not all shelters have both types of scanners. So, yeah.

And Charlie Brown is ADORABLE.

I'd bet the chances of a dog being euthanize unnecessarily because it's been impounded without anyone being able to find it are greater than the chances of developing cancer from a microchip. Stray dogs (I imagine) don't stand much of a chance unless people like Manintheboat or Randomdreams find them.

It's pretty much a question of which is more likely I guess :/
