Ow! Sounds like you may have overdone it! People frequently feel sore for a day after yoga, but swelling is not normal -- hope it eases off and mends quickly. Part of the process of learning how to practise yoga poses is finding out what level of intensity to work at, unfortunately there is a bit of trial and error involved.
