When I was watering plants I had a pint jar sized pocket and it would defrost during the day.
Take it out the night before and leave it in the fridge. Or take it out in the morning and leave it on the counter or in your lunch bag.
Don't forget to leave space at the neck of the jar for the liquid to expand.
