Friend of mine got half a small cuke stuck in the same way. Way too slippery to grip with fingers, and not enough room to grab it anyway. She came over, I borrowed small, metal, moderately-toothed, pickle tongs from the neighbors, put a condom on each arm (of the tongs), and managed to get enough of a grip on the cuke to extract it. :-)
