ALA Banned and Challenged Books Pt 3
21. To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee
It's one of the best books ever, what can I say?
22. Gossip Girl (series), by Cecily von Ziegesar
I've been waiting weeks for this one so it'll be reviewed later.
23. The Giver, by Lois Lowry
I liked this one and might go for the rest of the series someday. Why is this one banned?
24. In the Night Kitchen, by Maurice Sendak
Such a pretty loopy book.
25. Killing Mr. Griffin, by Lois Duncan
I read this in Jr. High and disliked all of the characters except for Mr. Griffin.
26. Beloved, by Toni Morrison
Joe gave me this book, "It'll screw with your head." That it did.
27. My Brother Sam Is Dead, by James Lincoln Collier
Poorly written.
28. Bridge To Terabithia, by Katherine Paterson
I read this many times as a child, and once out loud to John as we drove across Wyoming. Impossible not to cry buckets.
29. The Face on the Milk Carton, by Caroline B. Cooney
No idea why this one is banned. Pretty boring.
30. We All Fall Down, by Robert Cormier
This guy is so Bret Easton Ellis for kids. He wrote The Chocolate War as well.

GOTTA PROTECT THE KIDS FROM THE HARSH REALITIES OF LIFE SO YOU BETTER NOT LET THEM READ! Best to sit them in front of the Disney channel tween shows...cause we all know how well adjusted those kid stars turn out!

*cries and eats a bag chips*
I'm glad you are my friend though.
We haven't slept together right?
Okay last night at this restaurant the waitress kept touching me, like down my back. I was wearing a velvet jacket and people like to touch the velvet jackets, but this was really personal. I aced Haptics, I know what I am talking about. So it bothered me all dinner and all day... "Did I forget sleeping with her?"
spin, spin, spin
I think she read this book that said that if waitresses touch the customers they get better tips. I remember reading that somewhere. And maybe you were the first person of the night who looked like bathing is a priority. Also, she had this velvet dress that her grandmother gave her that she loved when you were a little girl, and she misses her grandma. Also, she had some hollandaise sauce on her hand and she needed to get it off, maybe spread it around thinly so you wouldn't notice.
Re: spin, spin, spin
I talked to John about it and he said she was super touchy at him too. It's just her then. Great.
