Back in the days of olde skool, my very best of friends and the woman I loved nursed a muse more attractive than I. Broke my heart.
One day she told me, "I can't promise you I'll be clean tomorrow, but I'll be clean today."
So I kept track of one day at a time.
TODAY! Never tomorrow, but TODAY! Today she will be clean and I have no reason to despair.

Yesterday, I realized that she had eleven years worth of today's. ELEVEN YEARS CLEAN!!
