Big loan from the girl zone
On my way home from work I get a sobbing phone call. The Other Nici, who dated Mark Travis, is having a bad day and needs some fun. Needs to stop thinking about Mark.
I pick her up and we hit the mall, something neither of us ever does, but we have gift cards to burn. We do the total girlie things that I never get to do since all my friends are men, Victoria's Secret (I got a pink santa hat), Godiva, the candy store, get drunk at the Sake bar, Express, and drool on things that we will never be able to afford at Anthropologie (I got a candle, something for my mom and something for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
maribou. I run into a gay photographer friend and get offered a modeling job. Second modeling job offer in 2 weeks, I accept. Yes, I still hate modeling, but I feel unattractive and maybe modeling will help.
We try not to cry.
Zane, my best friend and ex-husband, is living in the Virgin Islands. He is impoverished and living on the beach. That poor "anti-man" (as they call the fags on the island) has no Annie Lennox or Abba or Bjork to listen to since he has computer problems. So, as a belated Christmas gift I'm sending him a SanDisk Sansa M240 1 GB MP3 Player (Silver), recommended bycrossfire_. I'll hit up Joe for all the fag music it can hold and ship it off with a box of Oreos and a pack of batteries.... maybe a butt plug too.
