I don't remember what your insurance situation is, but if the Lexapro is $$$, ask your doc if you can take citalopram, which is the generic of Celexa. (Lexapro was created by the same company as Celexa when Celexa went generic - I've been on Celexa for longer than I'd care to remember!).
And I agree re: suicidal - I've had conversations with people trying to explain the difference between "wishing I was dead" to "wishing I wasn't alive."
