In the wee hours of Friday night/Sat morning before dawn, Chad heard, "THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP" on the front porch. He got the flash light, opened the door and met eyes with a mountain lion, the lion bounded off the side of the porch. Lions do and will eat people. After that, we traveled in pairs to the outhouse.

I found deer bones of varying ages 1/4 mile from the house.
