I GOT A NEW HOUSE AND SOCK MONKEY BOOK FOR VALENTINES DAY!!!

I got John albino tomato seeds and a seed book. Love apples!

We did a bad thing.

We've heard for years that constantly patronizing a restaurant will get you special attention. But it really never seemed to surface:
Until we showed up at Parisi on Valentines Day at 6:30 without reservations.
"We've been eating here for Valentines Day for 4 years and you've never accepted reservations before!" We claimed.
Simone Parisi himself seated us at 2 tables, 1 table would be too small, he insisted.
The second man-of-the-house waited on us and brought over a perfect wine.
I ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, a rack of veal. John had truffle risotto.
We had dessert.
We tipped well.
We made reservations for next year.

It was perfect. All of his food is perfect. It's always perfect.
When I was dying, I missed Parisi's food and Brie cheese, the only things worth living for.

That settles it. When I've got vacation time again, I'm coming to Denver.

We'll have lots of space, sock monkey books AND white tomatoes!

Down on ... offa 38th? It looks like a place that'd serve fantastic food. A friend lives nearby. Wonder if they're open for lunch

I'm glad you got seated for dinner

As soon as I have money to give them, I'm going to go give them some and see what happens.

No'm. But John says next time we come there we have to go to Yak & Yeti... which I'm a bit excited about.

It is *extremely* good Italian food, absolutely speaking.
What's more amazing is that it's inexpensive. Upstairs you're hard-pressed to pay more than $12, and most stuff is like $8-9. Downstairs, more expensive, yet, somehow, amazingly, better. Risotto with truffles. Yow.
