We get a fair amount of magazines in this house: Martha Stewart Living, The New Yorker, Family Handyman, Sunset, Zone 4, Natural History... that might be it. (magazines that we gave up: Dwell, Vanity Fair, Fine Woodworking, Interior Design, New Scientist.)
Family Handyman pisses me off. I'll give you that the title has MAN in it, but unless they are painting, or in a ad, there's are no women in that magazine. NONE. Women do not drywall, operate saws, or repair things. They can paint.
skazat said, "I'd bet there aren't men in Martha Stewart!"
We went page by page in each issue, counting genders.
Martha Stewart: 17 men (less than normal, Kevin Sharkey usually has his own 3 pages.) Men making lamps, in marching bands, sewing, baking. The same amount of women!
Family Handyman: 1 woman, she's painting.
