It Came From the 80's! ....paperback edition

One of my teenage patients LOVES 80's movies (The Breakfast Club etc) so I was trying to think of 80's books she might like. She's 15, so my best idea of American Psycho, not so much.

Christopher Pike and RL Stine?
I never read Sweet Valley High.
The Babysitters Club is probably too young.
