a homesteady day
Sunday, November 22nd, 2009 03:52 pmJust as Uncle Mark began mumbling about how, "We're gonna need more fire wood this winter..." one of the neighbor's (the Church of Frank) dead trees fell halfway into our yard.
We waited a few weeks, for the snow to melt and to see if the neighbor would take care of it himself or offer to help take care of it. Not a big tree, but still.
Today John went out with the chain saw and hacked it into little bits. I stacked it into the wood pile. I broke my little red wagon and John repaired it.
I made Chai cheesecake, and started potato bread. Uncle Mark made strawberry shortbread cookies, and dog biscuits. Later enchiladas.
