(no subject)

Yesterday, since it was Veteran's Day, I took our homeless vet, Uncle Mark, out for cheesecake.
I don't have many opinions regarding vets, but he was sort of mentioning the other day that Veteran's Day is his favorite holiday.... I guess I have a heart sometimes. He loved the cheesecake, the cards in the shop, the coffee, and the cake serving spatulas in the shape of a high heel. "Well, I guess someone had to go out there and make sure we still get oil.. thanks... here's a cheesecake."
