In which maribou gets her wish, and I am my fuckin khakis.

My boss is annoying me. Like two months ago he yelled at everyone for wearing cargo shorts saying we could only wear jean shorts. Monday he yells at us for wearing jean shorts and brown pants. He wants us to wear only khaki shorts with white socks, and provided pictures of $50 khaki cargo shorts from REI that he wants us to buy, with our own depleted funds... yeah. Nobody owns these pants because they've never been required before. I mumble something about the beatings continuing until morale improves.
I start discussing that our pants are not going to bring in new business unless we just stop wearing them all together.

Today at the thrift store I find some wearable khakis, for $2. One pair has embroidered palm trees and matching belt, oh so plant lady, they look horrible. But the best find is a New-With-Tags set of Columbia khaki coverall shorts with a bow on the back, originally $50 from REI (now $12). I have a matching 10 gallon cowboy hat and some really tall white socks.
