Saturday, February 14th, 2009 03:15 pmThursday I realized that I had all my homework done for the week. I called John and asked him if he had any plans for the evening. Both of us free, I proclaimed a surprise.
We would go see Coraline in 3D and go out for dinner.
I called Beatrice and Woodsley and tried to get reservations. None.
I looked up Cebeche (peruvian) and hoped that would be good.
When we got to Cebeche it was closed, very closed.
We walked up the street and looked in a cafe window, only offers lunch.
Tried next door at Duo, which we tried once before and was okay food, very expensive, did not find anything tempting on the menu.
Drove around and found something new called Root Down, local organic food. They had at least an hour wait, but gave us free drink tickets to try back when we have reservations.
Remembered that there were many places on 17th that we wanted to try since we sampled them with
apotropaic last summer. Ended up at at wine bar/bistro called Tastes. A very nice time.
Coraline was so amazing. Scary and fun and beautiful! Much better than the book.
