Last night was [livejournal.com profile] apotropaic's birthday. So we took her to Zengo for dinner, which was amazing, and Boyz Town, the male strip club, for drinks. [livejournal.com profile] randomdreams was really entertained by the first dancer, but then fell asleep at the table. Shot his load I suppose. [livejournal.com profile] apotropaic looked like she would have been more entertained watching grass grow. But I had a good time, so there.

Today was [livejournal.com profile] randomdreams's birthday.
I got him a Campy bicycle shirt, the new Malcolm Gladwell book, and the new Neal Stephenson book (autographed).
Like all upstanding young boys, he wanted to see trains for his birthday. We went to The Forney Transportation Museum. Pictures soon. Loads of old cars and bikes and the WORLDS LARGEST steam engine. I'll show you steam punk. The old Forney Museum building was sold 10 years ago ish to REI so they could fill it full of expensive crap, the "new" museum isn't as scary or haunted or full of Alferd Packer dioramas. They did bring over most of the really scary wax figures, so it is still a bit strange.
[livejournal.com profile] randomdreams likes cheese. A lot. I took him to Chedd's Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwich Shop for lunch, I nearly gagged over the thick cheesy air. He liked it.
Our friend The Other Nici shares the same birthday and birthyear as [livejournal.com profile] randomdreams and she wanted to go to The Fort for dinner. I'm not particularly fond of The Fort, but neither birthday kids had been before and wanted to try it. GOOD LORD was it expensive. I'll take Parisi any other night of the week. But we got pictures of them wearing funny hats, and I think they liked the food.

Tomorrow is more eating with [livejournal.com profile] randomdreams family. I can't eat this much. I love Strings as much as anybody but at this point I think all I can hold is a salad.
