When I lived on Detroit and Colfax, I'd frequently walk by the beautiful old Lowenstein Theater. At that time it was boarded up and empty. I was terribly sad that it would be leveled.
About a year later the Tattered Cover lost its lease in Cherry Creek, she fortunately found a new home at the Lowenstein! For me, it was better than Christmas.
A neat article about it:

birdmojo and
maribou took us to the adjoining restaurant Encore for dinner tonight. The menu looked great, and I'd been wanting to try it, but food in Denver generally is nothing to write home about (except Parisi).
It was fantastic. Bottles of wine were half off, the apps were killer (grilled jalapenos stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon, and an artichoke). All the entrees left everyone overjoyed, and dessert was excellent.
I'm a stickler for service too, the service was perfect.
gows, try this one next time you bring your man to town, you both will love it.
