I do manual labor. Fortunately, I get to have an MP3 player, or my brain comes up with its own horrible soundtrack. I do too much thinking when I have music, so I really like podcasts. They keep my brain engaged and pass the time quickly.

We have one of those video ipod thingums because John sort of helped invent its parts.

The problem is, it doesn't work well with any computer we've got. So when Eric comes over with his Apple lappy we get him to re-format it and put a bunch of music on it.

"This is all my music."
"Okay."
"I mean MY music."
"Okay."
"I don't want you to listen to all my music, nobody but me has heard some of this stuff."
"I'll pretend I didn't hear it."
"Well that's alright then."

MY computer, the one I built by hand and bits of dead doll parts in 2000, is very much still somewhat functional, but I'm thinking of having John build me a new one.
I use PageMaker and PhotoShop and WinAmp. It would be nice if it booted Win2000/XP/Mepis. It would be nice if the new computer accessed the internets. I might get a monster hard drive and some big memory, I hear the ladies like that stuff.
