Wednesday, November 7th, 2007 10:52 pmWriting two pages on "What is Mythology?" is really hard. One paragraph, sure, twenty pages, sure, but two pages???? It mostly reads like this:
"Just as kids in Ancient Egyptian times were taken to the temple to worship Ra, and Ancient Greek kids were taken to the temple to worship Apollo, I had to get up on Sunday morning to worship Jesus. Presently, the beliefs of the Ancient Egyptians and Ancient Greeks are considered to be myths. Ra and Apollo are not gods, but tales. Some day, when the next culture and religion evolves, Jesus will fall from reverence and into fable. Perhaps Xenu will have a space battle with Jesus for control of the Earthlings and win. The primary religion of the US will become Scientology and the US dollar will say, “In Xenu We Trust.” The young Goth kids will have Jesus tattoos instead of Ankhs."
Which is why I should go to graduate school,two pages is not nearly enough to say anything. I need more homework, damn you, MORE.
