I think the combination of messing with my sleep, being cold, and probably drinking too much the whole time is just the worst.
Agreed on all counts.
And yet, the excuse to go somewhere (anywhere), eat a few meals at places you've never been, run into people you know and have some interesting conversations, and sit in an absurd hotel bar drinking Manhattans absolutely alone while counting it all as work is also GREAT.
