I finished off the Neapolitan Novels.

New German Cooking: Recipes for Classics Revisited was really really good. I'll need to buy it.

I read about 80 pages of Ancient Evenings by Norman Mailer. I thought seeing the movie was sufficient.

The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet was just fine.

Jacob de Zoet was the first of his books I read, so it was strange seeing Marinus reappear later on.

The title doesn't fit with the book when you think of the other character arcs.

The couple who wrote New German Cooking are from where I currently live. Their restaurant is - unsurprisingly - quite amazing. The spaetzle recipe is the only one I've ever had come out okay.
